Salute to Leadership Gala a rocking sucess!

Broward Partnership’s 18th Annual Salute to Leadership Gala Raises More Than $320,000

Dancing On Friday May 19, more than 350 business and community leaders joined the Broward Partnership to celebrate 18 years of providing help and hope for more than 23,400 men, women and children experiencing homelessness at the annual Salute to Leadership Gala. The tropical themed event, Havana Nights, which was designed by Sixth Star productions and held at the Signature Grand in Davie, raised more than $320,000 to support the Partnership’s efforts to provide shelter, food and solution-focused services intended to reduce homelessness in Broward County.

Entertained throughout the evening by the sounds of Private Stock, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception while bidding on auction items, which was then followed by a Cuban inspired dinner, an awards ceremony, and concluded with guests dancing the night away to the sultry sounds of Havana after dark.

GL Homes was feted with the Corporate Trusteeship Award, while The SunTrust Foundation was honored with the Foundation Trusteeship Award. Ms. Stacy Ostrau, who served on the Partnership’s Board of Directors for seven years, was recognized with the Broward Partnership Leadership Award.

The event was made possible by Supporting Sponsor GL Homes and Platinum Sponsor The Leo Goodwin Foundation. Gold Sponsors included Holy Cross Hospital, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., Ultimate Software, the Signature Grand, the Sally Goldman Foundation, the Mary Jane Harlow Charitable Trust and the Thomas Family Foundation. Silver Sponsors included the Sun Sentinel and Dr. Gerald and Mrs. Mary Glass.
