Special Projects
- Dental Suite
Dental care is one of the homeless' highest needs. BPHI has received a gift of a dental chair and some equipment and is looking to provide on-site basic dental care for residents.
- Computer Lab
The computer lab at the Central Homeless Assistance Center is one of the most used facilities. The lab is used to train residents on computers, to assist them in searching for jobs and reconnect with their families. Currently the lab is comprised of 13 computers. BPHI is looking to expand the lab to 23 computers complete with state of the art software and accessories.
- Refurbishing Family Dormitory
The family dormitory is home to 10 families (40 individuals). The dormitory consists of 10 private rooms, a common area and two bathrooms. The facility needs a complete "facelift" including new furniture, new bedding, tile repair, painting, woodwork repair, floor cleaning and window coverings.
